Inclusion statement
Active Impact co-develops its work with disabled adults, young people and their families to ensure what we offer is inclusive and reflects the interests and requirements of disabled people in Gloucestershire. We ask for and act on feedback to ensure any barriers to inclusion that might exist due to how we operate are removed ensuring full inclusion and participation for everyone. We ensure that our Board of Trustees, our training team and our staff team are a mix of disabled and non disabled people and those with relevant professional or lived experience of disability.
We are committed to ensuring there is more choice available for disabled people across the districts, range of interest, age range etc – both through lesser known activities becoming more widely promoted and also through encouraging organisations which have never proactively demonstrated inclusive practice to begin doing so.
