That’s great! You’re Welcome is open to everyone who lives in Gloucestershire or close to our borders and likes to visit places in Gloucestershire. It’s also open to visitors to the county like those who might be here for a holiday.
You’re Welcome is somewhere disabled and non-disabled people can come to find exciting things to do, or to chat with other people on our forum. We work with local organisations and venues to make sure the information shared on our Event Directory and Things to Do pages have useful information about accessibility.
Membership is free and will enable you to fully use the website and forum (though you can browse or search for listings without an account). To sign up please click on the JOIN button at the top of the page. You will need to tell us your name and an email address. We will then send you an email with a link to verify your account. Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a page that asks you a little bit more about your interests and what specific requirements you may have. For example, whether places need to have an accessible toilet, be family friendly or have British Sign Language interpreters. It will also ask you what area you live in.
We ask for this information so that we can send you regular personalised emails that bring together all the opportunities on the website that meet your interests and your specific requirements. You can change your interests or requirements at any time in your profile. When you search the website the listings are not filtered by your selected interests or requirements but you can filter them each time you search. We do this so you have the full range of options to look at as we know that people’s interests can change over time and sometimes their requirements vary.
As well as the listings you can take part in discussions on our friendly forum. The posts in the forum are organised with tags for interests and/or requirements so you can find conversations that interest you. You can also start your own conversation.
