Walk Where You May – The You’re Welcome Way!
With the weather finally brightening up, the lifting of social distancing restrictions, blossoms blooming and fledglings learning to fly, May is the perfect time for National Walk in the Woods month. These beautiful natural spaces aren’t only found in woods, so this year’s campaign is called Walk Where you May.
As an inclusive events directory, we have listed lots of parks, green spaces, and other places of natural beauty for you to enjoy. From Batsford and Westonbirt Arboretums to treasures like Pittville Park and Sladebank Woods, we can recommend the county’s finest places to connect with nature.
Perhaps you would like to develop your green fingers by getting involved with some community gardening sessions or take a walk on the Malvern Hills with Sense Adventures.
There are all sorts of ways to enjoy the outdoors and we have lots for the kids to do too. Greenwoods Therapeutic Horticulture are running several days on the farm for 8–11-year-olds.
The information about all these events and attractions can be found by visiting You’re Welcome Gloucestershire.
Whether you love listening to the dawn chorus, feeling the sun and rain on your face, smelling the musk of daisies and bluebells, or taking in all the bright colours around you, we hope that you will enjoy walking where you may.
